What this bot does
The YouPay Discord Bot lets you send and receive money without leaving Discord. You type a short command and the bot handles the rest. Every command starts with a slash (/), like /send.
Two things to know before you start 1) Connect once. The first time, you connect your Discord to your YouPay account with /link_account. You only do this one time. 2) Some replies are just for you. If a message says "Only you can see this," nobody else in the channel can see it. Other messages (like a payment request) are posted for everyone. |
How to run any command
In a channel where the bot is set up, type / and a little menu appears. Start typing the command name, pick it from the list, fill in anything it asks for, and press Enter. That's it.
The commands
/link_account — Connect your YouPay account |
How to use it 1. Type /link_account and press Enter. 2. Click the Link your YouPay account button. 3. Sign in / confirm on the YouPay page that opens, then come back to Discord. |
/send — Send money to someone |
What you'll need Your account connected (/link_account), the person you're paying, and the amount. How to use it 1. Type /send. 2. Choose the recipient (who you're paying) and the amount. 3. Click the button the bot gives you and finish the payment on YouPay.

/request — Ask someone to pay you |
How to use it 1. Type /request. 2. Enter the amount and a short note(optional) (like lunch). 3. The bot posts your request in the channel. What you'll see A message everyone can see, for example "@you is requesting 10: lunch," with a Fulfil this request button. |
/random_send — Send a random amount (mainly for testing) |
What you'll need Your account connected (/link_account). How to use it 1. Type /random_send. 2. Set the lowest amount (min_amount) and the highest amount (max_amount). 3. The bot picks a random amount in between and gives you a Checkout now button to finish. |
/leaderboard — See the top senders or creators |
How to use it 1. Type /leaderboard. 2. Choose senders or creators, and a time period (all time, last month, and so on). What you'll see A ranked list of names and amounts. Use Next / Previous to flip pages, and Refresh to update it. |
/resync-roles — Refresh your Discord roles |
How to use it 1. Type /resync-roles. What you'll see A private message. If nothing needs changing, it says "Your roles are already up to date." |
/unlink_account — Disconnect your YouPay account |
