What this bot does
The YouPay Discord Bot lets you send and receive money without leaving Discord. You type a short command and the bot handles the rest. Every command starts with a slash (/), like /send.
Two things to know before you start 1) Connect once. The first time, you connect your Discord to your YouPay account with /link_account. You only do this one time. 2) Some replies are just for you. If a message says "Only you can see this," nobody else in the channel can see it. Other messages (like a payment request) are posted for everyone. |
How to run any command
In a channel where the bot is set up, type / and a little menu appears. Start typing the command name, pick it from the list, fill in anything it asks for, and press Enter. That's it.

How to use it 1. Type /link_account and press Enter. 2. Click the Link your YouPay account button. 3. Sign in / confirm on the YouPay page that opens, then come back to Discord. |
/send — Send money to someone |
What you'll need Your account connected (/link_account), the person you're paying, and the amount. How to use it 1. Type /send. 2. Choose the recipient (who you're paying) and the amount. 3. Click the button the bot gives you and finish the payment on YouPay.

How to use it 1. Type /request. 2. Enter the amount and a short note(optional) (like lunch). 3. The bot posts your request in the channel. What you'll see A message everyone can see, for example "@you is requesting 10: lunch," with a Fulfil this request button. |
/random_send — Send a random amount (mainly for testing) |
What you'll need Your account connected (/link_account). How to use it 1. Type /random_send. 2. Set the lowest amount (min_amount) and the highest amount (max_amount). 3. The bot picks a random amount in between and gives you a Checkout now button to finish. |
/leaderboard — See the top senders or creators |
How to use it 1. Type /leaderboard. 2. Choose senders or creators, and a time period (all time, last month, and so on). What you'll see A ranked list of names and amounts. Use Next / Previous to flip pages, and Refresh to update it. |
/resync-roles — Refresh your Discord roles |
How to use it 1. Type /resync-roles. What you'll see A private message. If nothing needs changing, it says "Your roles are already up to date." |

/server_config — Manage the YouPay bot settings for your server |
How to use it 1. Type /server_config in any channel. You need the Manage Server permission to open it (other members can't see or use it). What it does A private settings panel (only you can see it) showing your server's current YouPay settings, with buttons to change each one. Every change saves instantly and updates the panel. What you can configure Notifications on/off: turn the bot's event announcements on or off. Set Notify Channel: pick the channel where those notifications are posted. If notifications are on but no channel is set, they appear in the channel where the action happened. Leaderboard mode: cycle the /leaderboard between Off, Server only (ranks based on activity in this server), and Full YouPay (ranks across all of YouPay). Edit Roles: choose the Creator role, Sender role, and Age Verified role. The bot grants these automatically based on a member's YouPay activity. Edit Amounts: set the minimum spend needed to earn the Creator role and the Sender role. A member must have a positive amount that meets the minimum, so a $0 amount never earns a role. Amount Scope: choose whether role amounts count a member's activity in this server only, or across all of YouPay (Global). Sync Commands: re-registers the bot's slash commands with Discord.
